Barry Clarke

I am a retired professional Chartered Engineer and have spent most of my life living and working on The Mendips being involved in the quarrying industry for many years. I also have connections with agriculture and am well aware of the pressures on both these industries from local and national interests.

I was a Parish Councillor for 6 years encouraging and supporting local businesses large and small to grow and provide employment opportunities in the area.

My other main interests are the history and practice of architecture, gardening, DIY and, Covid permitting, holidaying in Italy.
